What is Infertility?

Infertility is a problem encountered by one out of every ten couples. Infertility is the name of the situation, where the couple does not use any contraceptive methods and have regular sexual intercourse for a year but cannot have children.

Infertility is seen both in women and men. Therefore; in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, both spouses must be examined and both spouses should undergo diagnostic tests.
The cause of infertility can originate either from the male or the female spouse approximately at rates of 40% for each. However, the cause of infertility cannot be explained in 10% of cases. In the remaining 10%, the cause of infertility originates from both spouses.
