The right to have personal and medical information kept confidential, and to have personal privacy and bodily integrity protected throughout examination, testing, and treatment.
The right to give free and informed consent, or to refuse any treatment, before any medical procedure is carried out.
The right to seek an independent opinion from another specialist and to benefit from multiple medical evaluations regarding your diagnosis or treatment plan.
The right to receive treatment in a safe environment that meets current medical standards and sterilisation requirements, with infection control measures in place.
The right of every individual to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of their health status, race, religion, gender, or social standing.
Any patient who believes their rights have been violated has the right to file a written or verbal complaint with the relevant institution, provincial health authority, or the TBMM Human Rights Commission.
